Some photos to journal the progress ...

Found a better way to stitch up the photos using photoshop.
Here are a few to note the progress over the months.

D-Day + 656 : On this cool and cloudy day ...

i thought it would be a good time to take an after lunch stroll to Jade Spring for some photo taking.
But sadly, the clouds gave way to the sun when we were leaving home and the high humidity doesn't help either. I am already starting to perspire upon reaching Ave 4.

To make matter worse, i had decided to bring neither phone nor wallet. Thus when the weather had taken its toll on us, there is basically nothing we can do but to make haste our trip. The bottle of Coke Light in the fridge kept us going.

Blk 443. The side facing Yishun Park.

Blk 442 and 443 from Ave 11.

Our national bird hard at work.

Blk 446 leading the pack. At level 5 now.

Blk 442 Units 04.

Living room of unit 02 and 04.

Working on unit 12 and 14.

Our neighbour Blk 440. The facade color is really soothing.

D-Day + 593 : It has been quite a while ...

since our last visit. Have been passing by frequently but wasn't armed with my lumix, and of course, no permission to visit it alone.

It's exciting to see that the foundation is finally done and some of the levels are up. The progress of phase 2 seems to be doing well too. Wonder if both will be completed together, though by different contractors.

Upon closer look, it seems only 1 block from Phase 2 is up.

Blk 442. Hope to see the 2nd level soon.

Blk 446 is the only block in Phase 1 with 2 levels.

The Multi-storey carpark should be done very soon.

A badly stitched photo of the whole Jade Spring site.

Blk 442 and 443.

Close-up shot of Blk 446, our 1st choice block, but we aren't fated to get it.

Future entrance to the estate.

D-Day + 481: With a hope to see more progress...

we decided to catch our lunch at Neighbourhood 4. It was a humid afternoon, thus we took a bus instead of strolling over. After a nice meal of fishball meepok, it is time to witness the progresses of Jade Spring.

Watching the cranes at work while enjoing my lunch.

One of the few coffeeshops in the neighbourhood central.

That's the power of 10x zoom on my Lumix.

Not much changes. But it does seems to me that there are lesser machineries this time round.

The Most Progressive Award goes to the Multi Storey Carpark.

The often forgotten part of the site. Junction of Ave 11 and Ring Road.

The carpark from another angle.

That's where my block will stand. Nothing done at all.

Information signboard...

of Jade Spring Phase 1 and 2. Cycled past today thus stop by to capture them. The gate was opened widely with nobody in sight. Was tempted to cycle in to take some close up shots but decided against it due to safety reasons.

D-Day + 412: My first visit...

to Jade Spring site in year 2009. As it had been more than 2 months since my last visit and baobei is busy with her grandma's funeral thus though it is a lazy Sunday, I still decided to go for a short cycling trip to check out the progress of Jade Spring and the bridge over Serangoon river.

Works being done to the carpark area.

The machinery had increased since my last visit.

I believe the foundation work of the carpark is completed.
